Take in sweeping views of the Sonoma Coast from these 335 rolling acres recently transferred to Regional Parks from Sonoma County Ag + Open Space. This property, known as Carrington Coast Ranch, will eventually open to the public as a regional park and open space preserve just north of Bodega Bay and Salmon Creek. On park preview days, the public is invited to enjoy a self-guided hike on the property and learn more about the master planning process that will result in the park’s permanent opening. At that time, the park will provide a critical segment of the 1,200-mile California Coastal Trail and link to public lands to the north and south.
Due to limited parking, a passenger shuttle will transport you from the Bodega Bay Community Center at scheduled departure times. Shuttle departure times include: 10am, 10:30am, 11am, 11:30am and 12pm. Onsite parking can be arranged in advance for visitors with Disabled Person placards or license plates. The cost is $5 for in-county residents and $7 for out-of-county attendees. The cost is non-refundable. For more information, contact Andrew Traverso at firstname.lastname@example.org. Parks staff and volunteers will be available to answer questions before and after your self-guided exploration.
Please bring your own water and snacks. We recommend participants dress in layers and bring a hat and sunscreen. Most programs will happen rain or shine, but may be canceled during heavy rains, heavy smoke, or extreme temperatures. Accommodations will be made for visitors with disabilities upon advance request. Parking is $7 or free with a Regional Parks membership.
