This Valentine's Day, let your love of the landscape ignite your passion for fire. Although destructive, fire shapes much of the landscape we know, with many native plants and animals dependent upon it. How do plants and animals live with fire? How does the landscape change in the absence of fire? Bring your questions and learn how fire is interconnected with plants, animals, and the land, and how fire has been shaping the landscape for thousands of years. Registration required.

Please bring your own water and snacks. We recommend participants dress in layers and bring a hat and sunscreen. Most programs will happen rain or shine, but may be canceled during heavy rains, heavy smoke, or extreme temperatures. Accommodations will be made for visitors with disabilities upon advance request.
