Enjoy the beauty of Bodega Bay from a whole new perspective! Come kayak with us to explore the Sonoma County coast and its abundant wildlife. Take in the fresh ocean air as we paddle around the harbor. This program is not recommended for first-time kayakers. Ocean currents, while weaker in the bay and harbor, can be difficult for new paddlers to handle.This program will be canceled if winds are forecast to exceed 10 knots. Necessary equipment including a kayak, paddle, and lifejacket will be provided.
Please bring your own water and snacks. We recommend participants dress in non-absorbent layers and shoes that can get wet, bring a hat and sunscreen, and leave water-sensitive items behind or secure them in a water-proof container. Most programs will happen rain or shine, but may be canceled during heavy rains, heavy smoke, or extreme temperatures. Participants must be 7 years or older. Participants 7-14 years old must be accompanied by an adult. Accommodations will be made for visitors with disabilities upon advance request.
