Take in sweeping views of the Sonoma Coast from these 335 rolling acres transferred to Regional Parks from Sonoma County Ag + Open Space. Carrington Coast Ranch will eventually open to the public as a regional park and open space preserve just north of Bodega Bay and Salmon Creek. On park preview days, the public is invited to enjoy a self-guided hike on the property and learn more about the master planning process that will result in the park’s permanent opening. At that time, the park will provide a critical segment of the 1,200-mile California Coastal Trail and link to public lands to the north and south. Due to limited parking onsite, shuttles will run every half hour from Bodega Bay Community Center. The cost is $5 for Sonoma County residents and $7 for out-of-county attendees. For more information, contact ParkPrograms@sonoma-county.org. Registration required.
Please bring your own water and snacks. We recommend participants dress in layers and bring a hat and sunscreen. Most programs will happen rain or shine, but may be canceled during heavy rains, heavy smoke, or extreme temperatures. Accommodations will be made for visitors with disabilities upon advance request.
