Park Preview: Wright Hill (10:00 Am Session)

November 15, 2025

10:00 am – 12:00 pm

Only 8 Remaining!

Explore one of Sonoma County's newest parklands before it opens to the public.

Program Location:

Wright Hill Ranch Regional Park and Preserve

Meeting Place:

Carlevaro Way, west side of Highway 1

Be among the first to preview Wright Hill Regional Park and Open Space Preserve, a 1,200-acre future coastal parkland. Enjoy a self-guided hike, ranging up to 4.5 miles, through rolling pastures, native grasslands, and bay and redwood groves, all with sweeping coastal views. Cattle are part of the landscape and park staff and volunteers will be available to provide tips for hiking in the presence of cattle. They will also share information about the property and its future plans. Adjacent to thousands of acres of Sonoma Coast State Park, Wright Hill is a key link in a chain of protected lands that stretches from Bodega Bay to the Jenner headlands. Since there’s no public access yet, a shuttle will take visitors from roadside parking along Carlevaro Way (directly across Highway 1) on a scenic, but twisty, 10-minute ride to access the park. Pets are not allowed. Registration required.

Please bring your own water and snacks. We recommend participants dress in layers and bring a hat and sunscreen. Most programs will happen rain or shine, but may be canceled during heavy rains, heavy smoke, or extreme temperatures. Accommodations will be made for visitors with disabilities upon advance request.
