Science Saturdays: Craft A Habitat

April 8, 2023

11:00 am – 12:00 pm

Only 5 Remaining!

Gather around to craft habitats like the ones our favorite Spring Lake critters call home.

Program Location:

Spring Lake Regional Park

Meeting Place:

Violetti Entrance, Environmental Discovery Center

Bring your junior scientists over to the Environmental Discovery Center to enjoy a kids-only, interactive science hour. Where do animals live? Do they live in houses or apartments like us? They live in habitats! Using natural items from our environment, we'll craft examples of different habitats like the ones our favorite animals of Spring Lake call home. Adults can head out into Spring Lake Park to enjoy rejuvenating, kid-free time in nature! Sign up for one or more. Activities are ideal for kids ages 6-12. The cost is $10 for Sonoma County residents and $12 for out-of-county attendees. For more information, contact Annika Lawson at Registration required.

Please bring your own water and snacks. We recommend participants dress in layers and bring a hat and sunscreen. Most programs will happen rain or shine, but may be canceled during heavy rains, heavy smoke, or extreme temperatures. Accommodations will be made for visitors with disabilities upon advance request. Parking is $7 or free with a Regional Parks membership.
