The Natural Resources team at Sonoma County Regional Parks invites community members to volunteer alongside staff as they work to protect the environment. Each month we will visit a different park to get our hands dirty removing invasive plants, tending to restoration areas, protecting young plants, and installing fences. All tools and supplies are provided by Regional Parks, including gloves, snacks and drinks. Registration required.
We recommend participants dress in layers, wear comfortable, closed toed hiking shoes and bring a hat and sunscreen. Most programs will happen rain or shine, but may be canceled during heavy rains, heavy smoke, or extreme temperatures. Accommodations will be made for visitors with disabilities upon advance request. Parking fees are waived for volunteers. For more information, contact ParkPrograms@sonoma-county.org.
