Who lived here before us? What influences have past practices had on our current landscapes? Culture is alive, thriving and ever changing. Join us for these talks that examine the people and personalities of Sonoma County, their stories and how their lives are tied to our most loved parks. Folks of all ages welcome. For more information, contact Ellie Muelrath at communityengagementprograms@sonoma-county.org. Registration required.

We will caravan from Bodega Community Center to explore the diverse coastal habitats found at Carrington Coast Ranch while learning about the human and animal history within the park. This is a unique opportunity to experience parkland that is not yet open to the public. The 1 mile round trip hike and lecture boasts sweeping views and contains moderately uneven terrain.

Please bring your own water and snacks. We recommend participants dress in layers and bring a hat and sunscreen. Most programs will happen rain or shine, but may be canceled during heavy rains, heavy smoke, or extreme temperatures. Accommodations will be made for visitors with disabilities upon advance request.
