Designed for new birders and beginners, these workshops will help you develop your bird-watching skills while learning more about our feathered friends and their world. Flittering, fluttering, singing and hopping ... birds are rarely still. By simply observing, there's plenty we can learn about them. We will take our time, listen and look for birds and discover what they might be communicating with their various behaviors. All ages are welcome, and binoculars are provided. The cost is $25 for Sonoma County residents and $27 for out-of-county attendees. For more information, contact ParkPrograms@sonoma-county.org. Registration required.
Please bring your own water and snacks. We recommend participants dress in layers and bring a hat and sunscreen. Most programs will happen rain or shine, but may be canceled during heavy rains, heavy smoke, or extreme temperatures. Accommodations will be made for visitors with disabilities upon advance request. Parking is $7 or free with a Regional Parks membership pass.
