Have you ever seen a newt commute? Several of our Sonoma County parks support the habitat for one of the sweetest and most sensitive amphibians! Join staff for a hike at Mark West and learn about the newts that depend on that space. We may even catch a glimpse of the adults "commuting" to water where they mate and lay eggs! Portions of the hike may include steep inclines and uneven terrain. For more information, contact Kalen Roloff Geck at email@example.com. Registration required.
Please bring your own water and snacks. We recommend participants dress in layers and bring a hat and sunscreen. Most programs will happen rain or shine, but may be canceled during heavy rains, heavy smoke, or extreme temperatures. Accommodations will be made for visitors with disabilities upon advance request.
