Monte Rio Redwoods was recently acquired by Regional Parks and Sonoma County Open Space. This 515-acre property along Dutch Bill Creek just south of Monte Rio is in the beginning stages of development. Its stunning quiet beauty will offer a unique opportunity for hiking, picnicking or mountain biking under shaded redwood, oak and riparian forests. Join park staff as we remove litter and debris along with invasive plants. For more information contact John Ryan at communityengagementprograms@sonoma-county.org. Registration required for this free event.

Please bring your own water. We recommend participants dress in layers and bring a hat and sunscreen. Most programs will happen rain or shine, but may be canceled during heavy rains, heavy smoke, or extreme temperatures. Accommodations will be made for visitors with disabilities upon advance request.
