Camping at Hood Mountain Regional Park

A 2,000-acre wilderness park on the edge of the Sonoma Valley, Hood Mountain Regional Park offers the only backcountry camping sites in the county. These remote sites can only be reached by hiking approximately 2 miles into the wilderness from the designated parking area.

During your stay, take advantage of the most extensive trial system within the Regional Parks system. Hike through mixed-conifer forests and serene meadows before taking on 2,730ft Hood Mountain, the highest peak separating the Sonoma and Napa Valleys.
