As we gather to spend time on a park improement project, we honor the legacy of Dr. King and the memory of Andy Lopez. In the spirit of unity and remembrance, we gather to beautify this park, a symbol of community, hope, and change. Volunteers will work to spread mulch, improve park paths and pull weeds. All the necessary tools and supplies, along with snacks and drinks, will be provided by Regional Parks. A lunch will be served afterwards. Registration is required.
We recommend participants dress in layers, wear comfortable, closed toed hiking shoes and bring a hat and sunscreen. Most programs will happen rain or shine, but may be canceled during heavy rains, heavy smoke, or extreme temperatures. Accommodations will be made for visitors with disabilities upon advance request. Parking fees are waived for volunteers.
