Program Registration

From dams to spillways to weirs, have you wondered about the engineered water control structures around Spring Lake? We'll paddle around the lake learrning about these structures, the history of Spring Lake and how it has kept Santa Rosa from regularly flooding. Along the way, we'll appreciate the habitat and wildlife created by the diversion and impoundment of water in Spring Lake. All paddling ability levels and ages 7 and above are welcome. The cost is $25 for Sonoma County residents and $27 for out-of-county attendees. For more information, contact Mark Morley at communityengagementprograms@sonoma-county.org. Registration required.

Please bring your own water. We recommend participants wear water shoes, dress in layers and bring a hat and sunscreen. Most programs will happen rain or shine, but may be canceled during heavy rains, heavy smoke, or extreme temperatures. Accommodations will be made for visitors with disabilities upon advance request. Parking is $7 or free with a Regional Parks membership.
