The first work of fiction by scientific author Edwin O. Wilson, Anthill is the story of Raff, a young naturalist navigating the natural and social worlds. Through his boyhood exploration of the forests and swamps of Nokobee County, Raff develops a love of the “strange, beautiful, and elegant” world of ants. As an adult he returns to battle the condo developers who are eager to pave and subdivide the wildlands surrounding his home, determined to save the world from its most savage ecological predator: man, himself.
